Turbofire is here! Karlee got this 13 disc work out class for Valentine's day, and we have been having fun with it ever since! We work out 5 days a week, with wednesday as a free day. I'm tellin' ya, it's a killer!
I haven't been that physically active for most of my life it seems, and with everyone always talking about the "freshman fifteen" I worry that eventually my delicious eating-habits with catch up with me! What if I wake up one day and I'm wayyyyy larger than I'd ever wanted to be?! I don't have insecurities about my weight as far as I can tell, but it's good to try and establish some kind of work out habit, so here we are.
TurboFire consists of HIIT classes that are shorter but intense-er :) FIRE classes (esp. cardio), stretching classes and sculpting classes. The Fire classes have "Fire Drills" that go for about a minute and they are higher intensity than the rest of the work out.... those are super hard! I read something online today that said that intense minutes in your work out like that help you to have a higher metabolism. Lucky me! Today I'm doing a core class and I'm nervous.... Not really a fan of sit-ups and I know my abs aren't the strongest so this might just kill me! We have been doing lots of stretching of our rotater cuffs or something that I've never heard of... whatever it is, my shoulders have been sore almost everyday this week! I am really enjoying it though!
The instructor's name is Chalene and she is so cute! She always says stuff like "You are a blessing in my life!" or "thanks for coming to class today, couldn't have done it with out you" and I just love it! She is pretty much awesome. Karlee really likes her also. I'm glad that I get to work out with Karlee because if she didn't do this every day I don't think that I would have the motivation. Karlee has said that I'm the reason she works out and I'm glad that we can motivate each other. Sometimes Arianne, Maryna, and Sara from room 206 work out with us and that is super fun! Arianne is a work out nut who is so upbeat that it makes the whole work out experience that much more enjoyable.
The TurboFire Program is like 5 months long or something so I won't be able to finish it all, but hopefully I will do it long enough that working out will become a habit! That would be good! I think that my parents have a copy of P90X at home, so when I move back I will start that! It feels so good to be exercising everyday!
