St. George Temple
Temple Tuesdays are here! During Spring Break.... oh, I haven't written in a while.... sorry gang! During Spring Break I went to the Mount Timpanogos Temple and the Provo Temple on the same day with my dear cousin Syd and ever since our little chat and adventure I've realized that going to the temple is essential for my life to run smoothly! Before Spring Break I went to the Saint George Temple once and on that occasion I cried the whole drive there.... I was hit by the realization that the temple has been missing from my college experience and I knew that satan couldn't stop me from getting the blessings that come from temple attendanceI feel like the temple really can answer questions and prayers and I can use all the help I can get. Doing temple service is helping others in ways that will bless my life.
Right then I decided that I would start a "two week tuesday temple trip" in which I would take the time to spend my afternoon at the temple. On March 29th I planned my first trip and I mentioned it to the lovely girls in room 206. Arianne and Maryna came with me and they decided that we can go every tuesday instead of every two weeks! HALLELUJAH! Super stoked! Today Arianne showed up at my door and asked me to come to the temple again. She said that she has been hoping to go almost every day since last tuesday :) My life is complete! Spending time with good people and doing good things just makes my day!
After conference this past weekend I feel like there is even more power in the temple than I ever realized before. The sacred covenants made there are binding for eternity and I am striving to live worthy of those blessings. Sometimes it feels like the temple is so full of mystery and secrets when it comes to things like the endowment and the sealing ordinance.... things that I don't fully comprehend. All I know is that the temple is a sacred place and that the Spirit of God is in that building, no matter which temple you are visiting. I am so glad that I decided to devote more time to the Lord by sacrificing my tuesdays for Him. The blessings of heaven are definitely evident in my life!
