Here I am back at School! I've been back at SUU for about a month now, and I'm loving every minute of it!
Life has been great as of late. I spend my days going to school, the library to work and study, and then finally I come home to do more studying and relax!
I'm living in Stonebrook, about a mile from campus, and it's been really great so far! My roommates are really fun to be around and I'm definitely enjoying my time with them. Back Row: Janelle, Ashley, and Rachel. Front Row: Shae, Trisha, and Me! We usually spend our days making fun of each other and cooking interesting food.... of course, the tv is on almost all day- but I don't think that we are wasting our lives, we just like the background noise.
My ward is really great. I haven't been around very much since we have so many family events lately, but it's been great thus far. My friend Rochelle is in my ward and that has been really fun! She is so cute!!! I hope to be more involved in my ward straight from the beginning, but it's just so hard when I'm being pulled in so may different directions!
Some of the Activities I'm trying to be involved in this year:
- Archery Club! Despite the teasing from my wonderful brothers, I'm really loving this! I've never really felt like I was good at anything before, and my coach keeps telling me how to improve on little things and then gives me compliments on my form and stuff. I just love being good at something that isn't school... yet I'm still learning how to be a good archer :)
- NSLS! Last year this wasn't working out so well since our president was so stressed all the time, but this year I volunteered to be president or vice or something so that I will have a leadership position..... further details later!
- SUU Honors! Last year I was an honors student, but I didn't really try to be an active participant in activities. This year I've already gone to 2 activities (counting the one I'm going to tonight- camping at the SUU Cabin, it's gonna be great!) and I've spent a lot of time in the Honors Commons at the library. I have a renewed motivation to be involved this year!
-Temple Trips! Although the lovely Arianne isn't here this year, i"m still trying to go to the temple as often as I can. Britney Whipple is my ultimate temple buddy and since she has a car now we have made a goal of 2 temple trips a month. So far it's been great and I'm recognizing the need for it more and more! I don't know where I would be without this Gospel!
So.... that's my life in a nutshell. I'm loving my roommates, I"m loving my class schedule, and I'm adoring my time here! This year is going to be one to remember and I just have a really good feeling about it. Thanks for reading once again, and I'm sorry that I haven't been very good at upkeep of this site! I'll try to do better!
Interested in Spain, Missionaries, NSLS, and my Career decisions? Stay Tuned! All of this an more will be exposed in the next few months!
