Curly Hair in Honors Commons!
I don't do my hair curly very often, but today I just decided to do it! In the past 6 months or so my hair has been curlier than ever. I don't know what changed exactly, but I'm not complaining either :) I woke up this morning and thought, "hey, my hair is pretty curly. let's just go with it." Took me 10 minutes.... tops.
I wouldn't say that I live in Honors Commons, but it's pretty close. I spend a solid 2 hours here on any given day. I feel like I'm a bigger part of the Honors program when I actually participate in things; however, notice in this picture that I have my headphones in one ear.... hard to be social when you listen to music all the time! That's okay, I'm still happy to be here.
My week has been pretty good so far. I got an email from Matt this week and that always makes my week better. He told me his favorite talks from conference and told me that his companion is really self-centered. I told him not to judge too harshly- some people just haven't mastered humility yet :). It's good to hear from him and he seems to be doing well in Argentina. He turned 20 last week and now I feel old. It hit me that I'm sorta growing up..... woah.
NSLS! I promised I would talk about that! I've volunteered as the Secretary for the club. That means I take notes at all the meetings and remind everyone when things are happening. I haven't been to a meeting yet, but I'm excited to be oober-involved this year! It's going to be great!
I've applied for about 50 jobs since I moved here. This week it's Quizno's, Pizza Hut, Eat-n-Beat it Deli, and Crystal Clean Maid Service. Some days I just get the motivation to search for some better source of income..... but then it's hard for me to follow through with calls and face-to-face contact after applying. I feel like I've got the job search idea down though, so that's good. I hope that I can get a job that works well for me this year! I need the money if I'm going to go to Spain in May! I'm pretty set on going by this point, I just need to find the funds and a job is a huge step in the right direction :)
Thanks for reading!
